About Muqarnas
The website derives its name from muqarnas, an intricate geometric pattern used in Islamic architecture. You can see examples of muqarnas in Delhi at the Qutub Complex and Humayun's Tomb, particularly around entrances and transitional architectural spaces.
There is no deep meaning attached to the name. I simply thought it sounded cool.
Muqarnas Magazine is essentially about writing what you want to say, NHB (No Holds Barred). The magazine covers a wide range of subjects including politics, science, medicine, art, East Delhi noir, Noida nightlife, technology, and almost everything under the sun, including the sun itself. If you want to write for us, look around and send us an email.
